We are glad to call GAMPA (Center for Open Culture) placed in Pardubice, CZ a long term partner. The gallery has been a touchpoint and place for new work for many years. We have had the pleasure and privilege of exploring many interesting topics & approaches with them throughout those years.
Now in their new exhibition and event spaces, we are happy to contribute to their current concentration, circulating around "The error" and what may or may not be mistakes. They are examining several questions, as well as commonplaces such as: who determines what is false, by mistakes we keep learning, we are falling forward, it's not a bug - it's a feature, etc.
Through the year-long program composed of three exhibitions, GAMPA will reflect on mistakes as a natural part of the human and non-human world. As part of the workshop, we will speculate on the difference between an error and a mistake, and how these reflect and intertwine with imagining futures, with allowing incompolete information, allowing mistakes.
If we do not allow mistakes, then we insist upon the perfect, and the perfect is sometimes the enemy of the good.
